Manwol's in an admittedly foul mood, but look food waits for no ghost.

She looks at the salad toppings section, opens her backpack, and starts scooping as much slivered almonds as she can into the bag, it's fine.]

[It's a day!

Sieghart is just here for a meal, because hobbling around with a splinted leg on an empty stomach is in no way fun. He finds himself beside Manwol as he thinks about what to eat and raises an eyebrow.]

Wow. That's a lot of almonds.

[why is both sieghart and sakyou walking around with BROKEN LEGS, Manwol glances at his leg and raises her eyebrows, then she holds out the Nut Scoop,]

Have some. People with injuries need to eat.

[He reaches for a container into which he can pour the almonds before accepting the scoop.]

Everyone needs to eat. Being busy is no excuse for skipping a meal.

[eating is the only good thing about life, honestly. Manwol does glance at him for a moment, then]

Were you part of the group that went exploring after the alarms?

He was pretty adamant about it not being his pet. [so it makes sense that it'd leave....] Maybe it'll show up during the trial tomorrow to point out the obvious again.

It'd be better if we can see the obvious for ourselves. We were too careless last week.

...I don't like to admit it, but this isn't my field of expertise. I usually get to talk to the ghost of the person who was murdered.

Half and half. Some remember and some remember everything but their deaths. Is it different for you?

The Underworld has a process where they extract memories of life from the dead in preparation for reincarnation. It's unusual for anyone to remember anything.

Oh? That's not so different from how we do it. Do your dead go straight to the Underworld then? They don't wander around the living first?

Manwol looks at the couch.]

Isn't that the couch Claude stole?

If memory serves me right, they go through the Soul Temple first. Souls don't typically linger in the material world unless someone binds them there.

[Sieghart looks at the couch, then at Manwol.]

Did he steal it? He told Caiman that he'd return it, but apparently there was a misunderstanding.

[She looks at him to the couch.]

The misunderstanding was that he never told Caiman when. [AND LOOK? IT'S STILL THERE!!

Manwol's not as upset about this compared to say, Bradley would be, though. She looks around the Spring Dorm instead, wow look at all these fairy lights]

[Sieghart doesn't look particularly bothered. That's Claude and Caiman's problem. There are other couches on which he can lie.

As for Manwol, there's alcohol, as well as knitting and crocheting supplies and yarn, on the coffee table. Sieghart limps over to the bowl of healthy and semi-healthy snacks that's also there.]

I don't know if your dorm serves the same things as ours, but you're welcome to help yourself.

The souls in my world always linger. That's why I run a hotel to give them a place to stay, at least until they're ready to move on.
